Parenting in the messy middle can feel harder than you expected.

Between ages 8–15, peers, school, social media, technology, and the wider world begin carrying more weight. Parents are navigating big emotions, changing relationships, boundaries, stress, and increasingly complex outside influences—all while trying to stay connected and remain someone their child trusts enough to turn to and be guided by.

The goal is not to control everything your child encounters. It is to strengthen the internal foundation they carry with them.

BE Your Influence® parent workshops are designed to guide parents in remaining a strong, trusted influence as their child’s world expands—while supporting their child in building an inner compass grounded in family values, connection, belonging, and trust.

What’s Included:

Loving Limits™
Setting Boundaries with Care & Confidence

This interactive workshop helps parents rethink boundaries as a tool for guidance, trust, and connection rather than control. Parents explore how their own emotions, energy, communication, and follow-through shape the way boundaries are experienced at home, and learn how to set clear, firm, and loving limits without getting pulled into unnecessary power struggles.

Through real-life examples and practical strategies, parents learn how to stay grounded when their child pushes back, use empathy without giving up the boundary, create predictable structure, give choices within limits, and use “when/then” language to reduce conflict. The workshop also explores family buy-in, natural consequences, technology and device boundaries, and how the home environment can support calmer, healthier choices.

Parents leave with practical tools they can begin using immediately to encourage responsibility, respect, independence, and greater trust—while leading with more calm, clarity, consistency, and confidence.

The workshop also explores the difference between punishment, rewards, and natural consequences; how consistency builds trust; and why a child’s reaction does not determine whether a boundary is appropriate. Parents examine how to hold firm while remaining connected, how to encourage responsibility and independence, and how to stay grounded when emotions run high.

Relaxation Tools & Calming Strategies
To Support You & Your Child

This interactive workshop helps parents and caregivers better understand why their own emotional regulation matters so much—especially when their child is overwhelmed, highly emotional, or neurodivergent. Parents explore how children’s developing brains, emotions, hormones, sensory needs, and stress responses can affect behavior, and why a calm, grounded parent can become an important source of steadiness and safety.

Participants learn a wide range of practical self-regulation and calming strategies, including breathing techniques, movement, grounding, emotional-release practices, the Parenting Pause™, and simple tools for resetting before reacting. They also explore ways to create a calmer home environment through reduced overstimulation, predictable routines, thoughtful technology use, sensory supports, and greater awareness of sleep, movement, and other everyday factors that influence regulation.

The workshop also helps parents think beyond the immediate difficult moment by focusing on resilience, strengths, emotional awareness, family calming routines, and the ways parents can model healthy regulation for their child. It is designed for all parents and caregivers, with tools that can be especially valuable for families of neurodivergent children or children who experience sensory or emotional overwhelm.

Practical Tools That Continue at Home

A parent presentation is just the beginning. Parents leave with practical strategies they can begin using in everyday moments—during difficult conversations, boundary-setting, emotional overwhelm, and the ordinary challenges of family life. Supporting resources and take-home tools help parents continue practicing what they learned long after the presentation ends.
